Inside the luxury apartment building The Dean, we set out to create more than just a communal space—we envisioned a refined retreat that channels the charm and intimacy of a private social club. Designed to support a wide range of experiences, the lounge invites residents to gather for cozy evenings by the fireplace, lively games of pool, shared meals with friends, or focused moments of productivity in the vibrant meeting area.

Reflecting the THP family's deep-rooted love for avian life, we commissioned a bespoke mural from a local artist that weaves together their Nordic heritage with illustrations of Ithaca’s native birds—infusing the space with personal history and a sense of place. we designed a custom Art Deco rug, anchored in the meeting area, adds a touch of whimsy with its subtly woven mermaid motifs.

The result is a richly layered environment that balances sophistication with comfort—an artful, inviting space where residents can relax, connect, and feel truly at home.
